Job Description:
This full-time Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician position is responsible for delivering high-quality, comprehensive healthcare to female patients. The role includes monitoring reproductive health, managing prenatal through postnatal care, delivering infants, treating chronic conditions, and collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional medical care to female patients across the lifespan.
- Monitor patients throughout prenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal periods.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests; prescribe medications and treatments as needed.
- Deliver babies while ensuring the health and safety of both mother and infant.
- Participate in the development and review of Clinic policies and services.
- Provide both outpatient and in-hospital medical care.
- Maintain accurate and timely charting and documentation.
- Manage cases for patients with chronic and complex conditions.
- Adhere to all medical, ethical, administrative, and organizational protocols.
- Consult with the Medical Director regarding patient management as appropriate.
- Refer patients to specialists and recommend additional treatments when necessary.
- Attend staff meetings and contribute feedback to support clinic improvement.
- Prescribe essential medications and ensure evidence-based care.
- Perform additional duties as directed by the Medical Director.
- Support implementation of community-based, patient-centered medical home processes.
- Assist with audits to ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations.
- Serve as a preceptor for medical students, as well as Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students.
- Participate in daily team meetings/huddles and collaborate with Nursing Staff.
- Implement clinic policies and procedures and provide support to clinical personnel.
- Rotate among Health Clinics as needed.
Schedule & Shift Details
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Weekend coverage possible
- On-call: 5–6 days per month
